In conversation with Professor Norman Lazarus

The Lazarus Strategy, which has topped the Sunday Times book charts, is part manifesto and part self help guide aimed at empowering us all to age well and wisely.

Its author, Professor Norman Lazarus knows his stuff. As a King’s College Professor he’s studied the science behind ageing for some 30 years and is the embodiment of the no nonsense advice that he gives. At 85 he is medication free, still a long distance cyclist and says he is enjoying the adventure of life as much now as he ever has.

Here, Debbie delves deep into the advice and examines the latest science on ageing. How much of it is down to genes? how much control do we have? Is that daily glass of wine/piece of cake slowly killing us all? Are there good/bad foods? And aren’t there some things we just can’t avoid?

The good news is there is so much under our own control but we do need to work at it and adapt to the physiology of each age - says the Professor. A hugely informative interview with lots of joy, inspiration and laughter.
